Your Excellencies! My dear friends,
Today I have to co-host the farewell party of one of our best colleagues – Her Excellency Afifa al-Mallah who will be soon leaving Amman after intensive work in the Jordanian capital aimed at strengthening the bilateral cooperation between Tunisia and Jordan.
Our friend, a skilled diplomat, a well-known ambassador has been very active during her posting to Jordan. She made a lot of efforts in order to promote already deep and historical ties between Tunisia and Jordan. I may not be well aware of the entire range of the cooperation between the two countries but we have on our radar the high-level dialogue and important agreements reached during the visit of the Tunisian President to Amman a year ago – in October 2015.
Businessmen from the both countries took advantage of the results of the dialogue and we witnessed exchange of visits between businessmen aimed at promoting bilateral trade and investments.
Lion’s share of these successful developments belongs to our good friend and a real jewel today – Her Excellency Afifa who is a successful diplomat who managed not only climb upon the rocky hill of diplomatic career but also raise three sons and remain an amazing and inspirational figure, a role model for a lot of men and women in contemporary diplomacy.
And today I want to wish to our good friend who is set to leave Amman – harmony, every success and happiness. Thank You very much for Your cooperation and friendly relations.
