According to the Ukrainian Intelligence Service, Russia continues to supply weaponry, military personnel and ammunition to support Russian terrorist forces operating in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
Recently, a special train with the military equipment, fuel and ammunition has arrived to the railway stations of Ilovaysk and Khartsyzk. What is more, a Russian convoy with ammunition illegally crossed the Ukrainian-Russian border in the area of Dmytrivka village, Donetsk region.
A few days earlier, a troop train arrived to the Krasnodon station from the Russian territory. In total, six combat vehicles, 300 tons of ammunition and other military materiel were illegally delivered to the territory of Ukraine.
Moreover, a military convoy consisting of two fuel tanks, one infantry combat vehicle, three armored personnel carriers and three trucks proceeded through the Uspenka border checkpoint towards the town of Amvrosiyivka, Donetsk region. Nearly 70 Russian militants arrived to Ukraine.
That is the simple explanation why Russia has been hindering the expansion of the mandate of the OSCE Observer Mission at the Russian checkpoints “Gukovo” and “Donetsk” to all sections of the border that is temporarily not under control of the Ukrainian authorities.
Reinstatement of Ukraine's full control over the border with Russia is critical and urgently needed for sustainable de-escalation and full implementation of the Minsk Agreements.
