On August 8, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan S.Pasko met with the Minister of Public Works and Housing of Jordan M.Obaidat.

During the meeting the two sides discussed the current state and prospects for development of the Ukrainian-Jordanian relations in various fields. In particular, they agreed on the need to realize the existing potential for cooperation between Ukrainian and Jordanian companies that work in the construction field.

In this regard the sides agreed to start preparations for signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction of Ukraine and the Ministry of Public Works and Housing of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which will become the first step towards establishing long-term and mutually beneficial ties between Ukrainian and Jordanian construction companies and government bodies.
