On July 28, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Sergiy Pasko presented copies of his credentials to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan Mohammad Siraj. The ceremony was also attended by the acting director of the Protocol Department of the Jordanian MFA H.Hatib and the deputy director of the European Affairs Department of the Jordanian MFA D.Mamela.
During the meeting the two sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of development of Ukrainian-Jordanian relations. In particular they agreed on the need to revitalize the political dialogue on the high and highest levels. The two sides expressed confidence that holding of the second meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Jordanian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation later this year in Amman will contribute to enhancing the existing trade ties between the two countries.
S.Pasko expressed the hope that after the next parliamentary elections in Jordan and forming of the new parliament the law-making bodies of the two counties will expand their working contacts.
Both sides also stressed the importance of deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Jordan in educational and cultural spheres.
