On August 15, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan S.Pasko met with the Minister of Agriculture of Jordan Mazen Hasawneh.

During the meeting the two sides discussed the current state and prospects for development of the Ukrainian-Jordanian relations in the agricultural sphere. In particular, they agreed on the need to revitalize the Ukrainian-Jordanian dialogue in this field.

Both sides expressed hope that in November this year Ukraine and Jordan would sign a number of bilateral agreements on cooperation in the field of agriculture and also would launch consultations on expanding the existing legal framework in this sphere between the two countries. The following areas were defined as the most promising: veterinary medicine, manufacture and trade in agricultural industrial equipment, training of Jordanians at Ukraine’s specialized agricultural universities, mutual export-import of vegetables and fruits (from Jordan) and gain products (from Ukraine).
