On 05 October, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan Sergiy Pasko held a working meeting with the recently appointed General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan Mohammad Ali Daher.

During the meeting, the head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission briefed the Jordanian official on the development of the internal political and economic situation in Ukraine.

The two sides also discussed the process of preparations for the Second meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Jordanian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which is scheduled to be held in Amman on 23-25 November, 2010. They both expressed confidence that the forthcoming meeting will contribute to the further development of relations between Ukraine and Jordan.

In this context the Ukrainian side repeated its request regarding organizing next year of the official visit to Ukraine of the King of Jordan Abballah II and opening a Jordanian diplomatic mission in Kyiv, which would foster enhancement of relations between the two countries.
