On 29 September, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan Sergiy Pasko handed in his Ambassadorial Credentials to King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Abdullah II.

During the audience, the head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission expressed confidence in the further enhancement of the bilateral relations between Ukraine and Jordan. In this regard he stressed the importance of organizing in the nearest future of an official visit of the Jordanian monarch to Kyiv, which could be used by the Jordanian side for announcement of the awaited decision regarding the opening of the Embassy of Jordan in Ukraine.

In his turn, Abdulah II emphasized that Jordan sees Ukraine as an important partner in the international arena. He also expressed conviction that the arrival of the new Ukrainian Ambassador to Amman would facilitate the upgrade of the Ukrainian-Jordanian relations to a new level.

At the audience’s conclusion both sides agreed that the development of the bilateral relations in all spheres is in the mutual interests of both Ukraine and Jordan.
