For the purpose of enhancement of the bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade and economy and development of the parliamentary and regional relations between Ukraine and Jordan, on October 30, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan Sergiy Pasko met in Aqaba with the President of the Chambers of Commerce of Jordan and Aqaba, Senator Nael Al-Kabariti.

The Ambassador of Ukraine informed his counterpart about the second session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Jordanian Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which is scheduled to be held in Amman, on November 23-25 this year, and invited the representatives of Chambers of Commerce of Jordan and Aqaba to participate in this event.

At the meeting Ukrainian Ambassador invited Nael Al-Kabariti to contribute to the establishing of the regional relations between the cities of Odesa and Aqaba as well as between the Odessa region and the Aqaba province.

The Jordanian Senator was informed about the existence in the Ukrainian Parliament of the Group on Ukrainian-Jordanian Interparliamentary relations. S.Pasko expressed his hope that a similar group will be established in the Jordanian Parliament after the elections to the Lower House, which are scheduled to be held on 9 November, 2010.

The two sides also discussed the implementation of the Agreement of cooperation between the Chamber of Trade and Commerce of the Odesa Region and the Chamber of Commerce of Aqaba, signed in July 2010.
