For the purpose of enhancement of the bilateral cooperation in the legal field on November 15, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan Dr. Sergiy Pasko met in Amman with the Minister of Justice of Jordan Mr. Hesham Al-Tal.

During the meeting the two officials discussed the present state and prospects for development of the bilateral relations. The Ukrainian Ambassador emphasized the need to develop the legal base of the Ukrainian-Jordanian relations and asked the Jordanian Side to provide the Embassy with the draft Agreement on Cooperation in the Criminal and Civil Affairs as well as drafts of other bilateral documents in the spheres of Law and Justice.

At the meeting both sides agreed on the necessity of initiation of contacts between non-governmental organizations of lawyers of Ukraine and Jordan and facilitation of their participation in international conferences, symposiums and seminars held in the two countries. The two officials also discussed the issue of the visit to Jordan of the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Mr. Oleksandr Lavrynovych.
