On 18 January 2011, Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan Sergiy Pasko had a meeting with Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture of Jordan Jeryes Samawi.

The meeting was also attended by People’s Painters of Ukraine Stanislav Adamenko and Maria Ralko, who are on a tour around Jordan’s historical sites.

The Ukrainian Ambassador proposed holding in 2011 in Amman a series of cultural and art events on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Ukraine’s Constitution and 20th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence. In particular, he expressed interest in organizing an exhibition of works of the two Ukrainian painters at one of the Jordanian capital’s galleries. S.Adamenko and M.Ralko presented to J.Samawi a booklet with samples of their works.

The Jordanian official welcomed the proposal of the Ukrainian side and gave assurances that the Ministry of Culture of Jordan would provide all necessary support to organize such an exhibition.
