On August 24, Ukraine celebrated 30 years of restoration of its independence - 30 years of development, formation, self-determination, improvements and victories. 30 years of relentless moving forward. 30 years of struggle for a better future.

This is an exciting date, which Ukrainians brightly celebrated in every corner of our planet with solemn and festive events.

Ukrainians in Jordan had the opportunity to celebrate this day together with the talented Ukrainian singer, winner of the show "The Voice", soloist of the musical Notre-Dame de Paris Anton Kopytin, who gave a live concert in one of the oldest historical places in the Kingdom - the city of Petra.

For the first time from the stage of Petra Cultural Heritage Village songs were performed in Ukrainian language in the unsurpassed performance of our singer and his wife Olga Katanova who filled the event with tenderness by her wonderful soprano.

We truly thank Anton Kopytin and his wife for spending this important for every Ukrainian day with us and sharing a piece of Ukrainian cultural heritage with Jordan. The Embassy also thanks the Petra Regional Development and Tourism Authority, the Jordan Tourism Board and the Ukrainian activist, pastor of the Slavic Evangelical Church Mykhailo Reznik, for their support and assistance in organizing this concert.
