On 22 February 2011, Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan Sergiy Pasko met with People Deputy of Jordan Mubarak Al-Twal for the purpose of discussing the issues concerning prospects for development of the bilateral cooperation in the parliamentary sphere.

The Ambassador of Ukraine informed the People Deputy about establishment at the Ukrainian parliament of the group on interparliamentary relations with Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and asked Mr. Al-Twal, who graduated from the Kharkiv Medical University, to assist in establishing at the Lower House of the Jordanian parliament a similar group on interparliamentary relations with Ukraine.

In his turn, Mr.Al-Twal supported the above-mentioned idea and expressed his readiness to join such a group. He also informed the Ukrainian Ambassador that the issue of establishing the groups on interparliamentary relations with other states was included in the agenda of the Lower House.
