For the purpose of establishing the Ukrainian-Jordanian cooperation in the field of human rights Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan Dr. Sergiy Pasko met in Amman with the Head of the Jordanian Bureau of Ombudsman Mr. Abdelilah Al-Kurdi on 22 May 2011.

During the meeting the Ambassador briefed the Ombudsman on the activities of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights. He expressed interest in establishing the Ukrainian-Jordanian cooperation in the field of human rights and initiating contacts between the ombudsmen of Ukraine and Jordan. S.Pasko proposed to hold a meeting of the Ukrainian and Jordanian ombudsmen as well as to sign a bilateral Memorandum on Cooperation and asked the Jordanian side to provide the Embassy with the draft of this document.

In his turn, Mr. Abdelilah Al-Kurdi promised to provide the Embassy with the Jordanian proposals concerning the activation of the bilateral cooperation in the field of human rights.
