This is the first street in the Arab countries named after Taras Shevchenko and the Embassy of Ukraine in Jordan is the first Ukrainian diplomatic mission located on the street of the Ukrainian Poet in the world.

During the meeting the Head of Ukrainian diplomatic mission expressed gratitude for their help in awarding one of Amman streets name Taras Shevchenko. The Ambassador also informed them about the latest developments in our country, specifically in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as in southern and eastern regions of Ukraine.

The sides also discussed issues of the improvement Taras Shevchenko street in the Jordanian capital.
