This is the first street in the Arab capitals named after T.Shevchenko and the Embassy of Ukraine in Jordan is the first Ukrainian diplomatic mission located on the street of the Ukrainian Poet in the world. These decisions about awarding one of Amman streets name Taras Shevchenko were made by the Greater Amman Municipality.
