The Verkhovna Rada ratified four bilateral consular agreements between Ukraine and Jordan signed during the official visit to Ukraine of H.E. Dr. Bassam Al-Talhouni, Minister of Justice of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in November 2019.

The documents regulate the transfer of convicted persons, mutual legal assistance in criminal cases, extradition of offenders, and legal assistance in civil cases.

Currently the agreements are subject to ratification by the Jordanian side. Upon completion of relevant procedures by both sides the mentioned bilateral treaties will come into force.
