Ukraine has been a reliable supplier of grain to Jordan for more than 10 years, which amounted to about 30% of Ukraine's exports to the Kingdom in recent years, and is ready to continue to meet the country's needs in strategically important crops, including wheat and corn.
This was stated by Mr. Andriy Vadatursky, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukraine's largest grain trading company JV LLC "Nibulon", during his visit to Jordan from 21st to 25th February.
The businessman's visit began with an official meeting with H.E. Mr. Mohammad Dawodieh, Minister of Agriculture of Jordan, with the participation of H.E. Mrs. Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, Ambassador of Ukraine to Jordan, representatives of the Embassy and the Ministry, during which they discussed the prospects of corn supplies to the Kingdom.
The program of the visit also included a visit to the Amman headquarters and facilities in Aqaba of the Jordanian Silos and Supply General Company, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Administration, the Port of Aqaba, the management and production of mineral fertilizers and logistics companies in Jordan.
Following the visit, the Ukrainian and Jordanian sides plan to prepare a conceptual vision for expanding bilateral relations in the fields of trade and investment, which will serve the interests of both countries.
