For the purpose of development of bilateral relations in the energetic sphere Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan Sergiy Pasko met on 6 May 2012 with the Chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission Khaled Toukan.

The Ambassador of Ukraine briefed the Jordanian official on the achievements of the atomic energy in Ukraine and expressed his view about the perspectives of initiating of the bilateral cooperation in this field.

In his turn Khaled Touqan informed the Ambassador about implementation of the project on construction of the first nuclear power plant in Jordan and expressed the readiness of the Jordanian side to benefit from the Ukrainian experience.

During the meeting both sides discussed the possibility of signing in the year of 2012 of the Agreement on Development of Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy.
