E-Visa
Starting from April 4, 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs carries out centralized issuing of visas to nationals of 44 * countries of the world electronically (e-Visa) for entry to Ukraine with a business or tourist purpose.
* As of 16.11.2018: Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bahrain, Bolivia, Bhutan, Vanuatu, Haiti, Guatemala, Honduras, Grenada, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Kuwait, Laos, Mauritius, Malaysia, Maldives, Mexico, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Oman, Palau, Peru, El Salvador, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Singapore, Suriname, Thailand , Timor-Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Fiji, Jamaica.
e-Visa is a completely new project for Ukraine, which is being implemented with an aim of modernizing existing procedures in the visa sphere.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has developed the most simplified process of obtaining an e-Visa, which, at the same time, provides effective control of preventing the entry of unwanted persons into Ukraine.
For obtaining e-Visa it is required:
1. To register on the web-platform of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs https://evisa.mfa.gov.ua/.
2. To fill in an online application, upload a photo and scanned copies of documents (passport, invitation, etc.), pay a consular fee online with a bank card.
3. To receive a ready e-Visa by e-mail (to be sent in pdf format).
In order to enter Ukraine, you need to print the e-Visa and present with the passport to border guard authorities of Ukraine (e-Visa is valid for entry at international border crossing points).
Benefits of e-Visa:
- remote submission of documents at any convenient time and obtaining of an e-Visa without the need to visit a consulate;
- the possibility of online tracking of the issuing of the e-Visa;
-centralized registration of all e-visas in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine;
- permanent information support for applicants on [email protected];
- consideration time - up to 9 business days;
- cost - $ 65 USD (starting from 01.01.2019 - USD 85);
- the term of validity is one day up to 30 days.
e-Visa is characterized by efficiency, reliability, substantially, it simplifies visa formalities for those who wish to visit Ukraine and it receives positive feedbacks from users.
During the first 6 months of the operation of the e-Visa registration system more than 9,000 foreigners obtained e-Visas.
Taking into account the successful experience of the system, it is planned to expand the grounds for issuing an e-Visa (according to the purpose of entry), as well as the list of countries whose citizens may be granted an e-Visa.
Starting from 01.01.2019, e-visas will be issued for entry to Ukraine:
- with a business purpose;
- for private purposes;
- for tourist purposes;
- for the purpose of medical treatment;
- for carrying out activities in the field of culture, science, education, sports;
- for representatives of foreign media in order to fulfill their official duties.
