The Ambassador participated in the Consecration of the Church in Madaba

On September 22 in Madaba in participation with Ambassador of Ukraine to Jordan Dr. Serhiy Pasko the Ceremony of the Consecration of a new Church of Theotocos was held by the Patriarch of Jerusalem and all Palestine Theophilus III.
During the Ceremony the attendees could listen to the Patriarch Divine Liturgy.
Madaba is an ancient city repeatedly mentioned in the Holy Bible. In 2011 Madaba and Cherkasy have signed the Inter-regional Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation.
In 2013 the Municipality of Madaba made a decision to name one of the city’s streets after the great Ukrainian poet and artist Taras Shevchenko.
