In premises of diplomatic institution Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan Serhiy Pasko handed Honorary letter of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Head of educational and methodical section of educational institutions of culture and arts of municipal institutions of Ternopil Regional Council “Ternopil regional methodical center of folk art” of Cultural Department of Ternopil Regional State Administration Mr. Zinoviy Hirnyak as well as handed Honorary letter to Honored Artist of Ukraine, Director of Academic Ensemble of Folk Instruments “Viserunok” of Ternopil regional Philarmonic Mr. Myroslav Babchuk for a significant contribution to development of Ukrainian-Jordanian relations, popularization of Ukrainian culture and traditions, active life position, patriotism and fruitful cooperation with Embassy of Ukraine in Amman.

 

In 2016 on the occasion of 25th Anniversary of Independence of Ukraine Mr. Zinoviy Hirnyak arranged a visit of troop of Academic Ensemble of Folk Instruments “Viserunok” of Ternopil regional Philarmonic (“Veseli Halychany”) to Jordan. From August, 27 to September, 3 the troop performed in ancient Roman theaters in Amman and Jerash, during solemn receptions in “Marriott” and “Movenpick” hotels located on the coast of Dead Sea and in Greek orthodox school in Madaba.

Through their high professional performance of Ukrainian folk music, songs and dances as well as songs of other nationalities, the troop has shown proficiency and versality of Ukrainian art which makes peoples closer for peace on the Earth. A live contact with the audience turned their performance into unforgettable festival of Ukrainian folklore.
