The ceremony was attended by a large number of ambassadors and diplomats in Jordan.

During his speech, the Ukrainian Ambassador praised the Ambassador Sabir Aghabayov, who began his professional career 42 years ago and said that he worked his best efforts to forge closer ties between the Azerbaijan and Jordan. He also noticed deep and historical ties between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He said he wished success and happiness for Ambassador Sabir Aghabayov after leaving Amman to the Azerbaijan.

In his speech during the ceremony, the Azerbaijani Ambassador said that he will leave Jordan and say goodbye to his good friends and it is very difficult for him to say farewell to these friends.

Ukrainian Ambassador, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps presented a commemorative gift to the Ambassador of Azerbaijan which is a silver tray engraved with the names of his fellow ambassadors in Jordan.
