During the official opening ceremony on behalf of the Diplomatic Missions, Ukrainian Ambassador to Jordan Dr. Sergiy Pasko delivered the solemn speech, in which he praised the activities of home for orphaned and underprivileged boys “Mabarrat Um Al Hussein”.

HRH Princess Basma during the speech expressed gratitude to the Ambassador of Ukraine Dr. Sergiy Pasko, noted the friendly Ukrainian-Jordanian relations and thanked all embassies for their participation in the charity bazaar.

HRH Princess Basma was very impressed with Ukrainian tradition. She also visited Ukrainian booth and expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Ukraine for the brilliant exposition of the products of the Ukrainian masters as well as for the exhibition of the Ukrainian food products.

The Embassy of Ukraine presented wooden products with Petrykivka painting, handmade accessories, “Roshen” and “Millenium” chocolate products, alcoholic drinks TM “Kozatska Rada”, “Nemiroff” and “Khortytsia” as well as Ukrainian food – dumplings (varenyky), stuffed cabbage rolls, pancakes, meat snacks, sweets and biscuits.   

The money, procured from the selling of the national products will be used for the supporting home for orphaned and underprivileged boys “Mabarrat Um Al Hussein” established in 1958 by late Queen Zein Al Sharaf.

51 Diplomatic missions, accredited to the Kingdom, took part in the Bazaar. They were selling their national souvenirs and traditional foods of their countries.

The Embassy of Ukraine expressed gratitude to “Ukrainian house in Jordan” and children's vocal and choreographic group «UA Kids» for performing national folk dances and songs during the event.

During the bazzar Ukrainian Ambassador Dr. Sergiy Pasko gave two interviews for leading Jordanian and Iraqi TV Channels.
