The official visit of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko to Jordan, which is the first one in the history of the Ukrainian-Jordanian relations, begun. The main goal of the visit is to prepare the return state visit of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to the Kingdom.

During the visit Kostyantyn Gryshchenko will have the meetings with His Majesty King Abdullah II, Prime Minister of Jordan A.Al Hasawneh, the Speaker of the Lower House of the Jordanian Parliament A.Al Dugmi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan N.Judeh and the Minister of Industry and Trade of Jordan, Head of the Jordanian part of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, S.Gammoh.

The session of the heads of the diplomatic missions of Ukraine in the countries of the Middle East and the North Africa will be held in the frameworks of the visit of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko to Jordan. The session will be the first one in the region under the chairmanship of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. During the session its participants will discuss the extraordinary changes, which took place in some Arab countries since the time of the last session in 2002, as well as the ways of activation of the cooperation between Ukraine and the countries of the Middle East and the North Africa in the new circumstances.
