On 30 June 2012 the team of the Embassy of Ukraine in Jordan occupied the first place in the football championship among the teams of the diplomatic missions of the European countries, which was held in one of the Amman prestigious sport clubs – “Orthodox Club”. The second place in the championship was occupied by the team of the Spanish Embassy, the third place – by the Embassy of France and the fourth one – by the Italian diplomatic mission.

The championship named “Play with Europe in Jordan”, was dedicated to the final of the Euro-2012 in Ukraine. The teams of the diplomatic missions of Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Sweden participated in the championship. The money accumulated from this game will be spent for supporting the King Hussein Cancer Center.

After the finish of the championship the Ambassador of Ukraine to Jordan S.Pasko offered the precious prizes and presents to the football players, who occupied the first and the second places.

The team of the Ukrainian Embassy won the first match from the team of the Russian Embassy with a score of 6 goals to 2. In the semifinal of the championship the team of the Embassy of Ukraine won from the team of the French diplomatic mission with the score of 3 to 1. In the final of the championship the team of the Embassy of Ukraine won from the team of the Embassy of Spain with the score of 2 to nil.

The organizers of the championship were the Embassy of Ukraine in Jordan as well as the companies “Creative Concepts Industry” and “Barhoum Design & Branding”. The sponsors of the championship were the telephone company “Zain”, Jordan newspaper “Al Arab Al Youm” as well as the five stars Hotel “Kempinski”.
