The event began with a speech of Ambassador of Ukraine to Jordan Dr. Sergiy Pasko, during which he informed about the main achievements of Ukrainian poet, writer, artist, prominent public figure, folklorist, ethnographer Taras Shevchenko and path of Kobzar in Jordan.

During the event students of Ukrainian cultural center “Vodograi” and representatives of Ukrainian community read out poems and sang song of Taras Shevchenko, as well as performed folk dance. The guests also watched a documentary film about the life of the Great poet “Taras Shevchenko. 200 Years of solitude”
