Um ar-Rasas is archaeological landscape that includes extensive ruins dating to the Roman, Byzantine, and early Muslim periods, as well as the ruins of Roman military base. There are 16 churches with perfectly preserved mosaic floor on the site.

The excursion was organized by Secretary General Ministry of Foreign Affair and Expatriates of Jordan H.E. Mr. Nayef Zeidan, Director Jordan Institute of Diplomacy Ambassador H.E. Ms. Lina Arafat and Um Ar-Rasas Cultural Committee with the auspices on the Minister of Interior of Jordan H.E. Mr. Salameh Hammad and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan H.E. Mrs. Lina Annab.
