On September 08, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine in Jordan Mr. Sergiy Pasko met with the Chief of the International Affairs Directorate of the Royal Hashemite Court Mr. Manar Dabbas.

During the meeting the two sides discussed the current state and prospects for development of the Ukrainian-Jordanian relations in political and economical fields. The Ukrainian ambassador emphasized the need to provide a political impetus to further development of the bilateral relations, in particular, the speeding up the process of resolving two important issues – organization of the Jordanian monarch’s visit to Ukraine and opening of the Jordanian embassy in Kyiv. In this regard the Head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Amman emphasized that among the Middle Eastern states where Ukraine has opened its embassies Jordan is the only country that does not have the diplomatic representation in Ukraine.

During the meeting both sides exchanged opinions on the current situation in the Middle East regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Ukrainian and Jordanian sides agreed that they have close approach to this important issue.
