On March 10, 2016 the solemn event was held in the Embassy of Ukraine, dedicated to the 202nd Anniversary of birth of outstanding Ukrainian poet and public figure Taras Shevchenko

At the begging of the event Ambassador of Ukraine to Jordan Dr. Sergiy Pasko delivered the speech, during which he informed about the life and works of an outstanding son of Ukrainian people poet, writer, artist, prominent public figure, folklorist, ethnographer Taras Shevchenko and path of Kobzar in Jordan.

During the event Ukrainian vocal and dance ensemble and representatives of Ukrainian community read out poems and sang song of Taras Shevchenko in Ukrainian and in Arabic, as well as performed folk dances.
