On February 5, 2016 in the Embassy, Ambassador of Ukraine to Jordan Dr. Sergiy Pasko held press conference for Ukrainian and Jordanian journalists, dedicated to the current state of Ukrainian-Jordanian cooperation.
The press conference was attended by Ukrainian journalists, among them O.Fedorov (“Ukrinform”), R.Bochkala (“Inter” TV Channel), O.Ierofiev (“Inter” TV Channel), V.Voronkov (“Voice of Ukraine” newspaper), L.Voronkova (“Segodnya” (Today) newspaper), N.Berezhna (“Kyiv” TV Channel), V.Fedyanin (“Ukrinform”), O.Triapitsyna (“Vikna” (Window) newspaper), I.Podgorna (Odesa National I.I.Mechnikov University) and Jordanian journalists, among them O.Armouti (“Al-Deyar” newspaper), M.Shammout (freelancer), A.Jadalla (“Amman newspaper”) and T.Al Hmaidi (“Al-Ra’i” newspaper).
During the conference Ambassador of Ukraine Dr. Serhiy Pasko informed the representatives of mass media about the results of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Jordan in 2015 and presented the agenda of Ukrainian-Jordanian cooperation scheduled for 2016. In addition, the Head of the diplomatic mission of Ukraine informed the journalists about the current political situation in Ukraine, in particular about Ukrainian reforms, the current state on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine - Crimea and Sevastopol, violation of the Minsk agreements by pro-Russian militants in some areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The journalists from Ukraine and Jordan had opportunities to exchange experiences on the work of Ukrainian and Jordanian mass media, as well as they expressed their vision on the development situation in Ukraine and in the Middle East.
