For significant contribution in strengthening the international authority of Ukraine, promotion of its historical heritage and modern achievements and on the occasion of 24th anniversary of Independence Day of Ukraine the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko awarded the Mayor of Greater Amman Akel Aid Biltaji with the Order "For Merit" of the Second Degree.

15 foreigners were awarded and Akel Aid Biltaji is the only one representative of Arab countries.
