On the occasion of the 201st anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth and for significant contributions of development of Ukrainian-Jordanian cooperation and for assistance in renaming the street after Great Kobraz in Amman, Ambassador of Ukraine to Jordan Dr. Sergiy Pasko handed to Jordanian officials Mr. Muhammad Ennab (graduate from Kyiv institute of light industry in 1982) and Mr. Nidal Aquili (graduate from Kharkiv institute of municipal economy in 1982) by jubilee medals of Ukrainian Cultural Fund “For the faithful to covenants of Kobzar”.

It should be mentioned, Taras Shevcheko street is the first and single street in Arabic countries, where the Embassy of Ukraine in Jordan is located.

The ceremony of awards was held during the opening Park of Ukrainian-Jordanian Friendship in the presence of H.E. Mayor of Amman Akel Biltadji.
