At the beginning of the Park, which is located next to the Great Poet street, the Memorial plate was put with inscription:

“In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Under the patronage of H.E. Mayor of the Grater Amman Municipality Akel Biltaji

and H.E.Ambassador of Ukraine Sergiy Pasko

and with the assistance from God this park was opened

within the Municipality initiative “Amman our Mother, Amman the city that reads”

and in order to commemorate the memory of Ukrainian poet and artist Taras Shevchenko.

This event is one more confirmation of friendly relations between Ukraine and Jordan.
