The ambassador added in a press conference at the Ukrainian Embassy in Amman on Monday, that the Ukrainian intelligence has evidence that the plane was shot down by a BUK-M missile that killed all 298 passengers aboard.

On Jordanian students in Ukraine, Pasko said that the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research gave recently accreditation to 14 additional Ukrainian universities, adding that "we are awaiting Jordanian students in Ukraine in September to pursue studies at universities in the country.

In an earlier statement the ambassador said he had suggested to Jordan that Jordanian students studying in unstable areas be transferred to safer regions in the west of the country and its capital.

On trade exchange between Jordan and Ukraine, the ambassador said that his country's exports to Jordan declined by 11 percent in the first 4 months of this year compared to the same period of last year.

He also urged Jordanian businessmen to take part in an investment conference that will be held in the capital Kiev in September.
