On May 22, 2014 at the Embassy of Ukraine in Jordan Ambassador of Ukraine to Jordan Dr. Serhiy Pasko gave interview to State Jordan News Agency “Petra" dedicated to early Presidential Elections in Ukraine.
Ambassador of Ukraine Dr. Serhiy Pasko retailed to the representative of mass media about the process of preparation for the presidential elections in Ukraine on 25 May. In particular, 21 candidates for the post of the President of Ukraine are registered to take part in the elections, Ukraine is interested in holding elections in free, transparent and democratic manner, in full compliance with international standards and that high number of international observers (more 2000) is expected to be present at the elections. The Head of Embassy also noted that about 500 thousand Ukrainian abroad would be able to vote.
Dr. Serhiy Pasko spoke about Taras Shevchenko street in Amman and establishment Ukrainian park next to the street of the great poet.
The Ambassador of Ukraine answered journalist’s questions, concerning bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as expressed gratitude to Jordan for the support of Ukraine in this difficult time.
