          Dear participants and guests of the Fourth Congress of doctors!

          Jordan occupies honorable top position among countries in the Arab world and it is the fifth in the world in the sphere of medical tourism.We attribute this to the great efforts of more than a thousand students, who graduated from Ukrainian universities and continue their work in Jordan.

          Three years passed since the last Congress. Ukrainian Embassy kept its promise given at the third Congress of Russian-speaking doctors, which was held in Amman in November 2010. The First Ukrainian-Jordanian International Medical Congress was held on 12 – 15 September 2011 in the Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia. 55 Jordanian physicians, representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and municipality of Vinnytsia took part in this important event. At the same time we had the first in the history of Ukrainian-Jordanian relations Days of Jordanian culture in Ukraine. They which were held in Vinnytsia, Zvenyhorodka, Cherkasy and Kyiv.

          In June 2011 during the meeting with His Majesty the King of Jordan Abdullah the Second in Kyiv, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych underlined the need to organize the conferences in different medical specialties on a regular basis. That should rise the professional level of the Jordanian students in Ukraine.

          The Embassy and the Association of Russian-speaking physicians in Jordan are planning to hold the Second International Ukrainian-Jordanian Medical Congress with the participation of the doctors from Jordan and other Arab countries who graduated from the Ukrainian universities in 2014.

          In 2012 the Embassy issued 790 educational visas for Jordanian students, most of them joined Ukrainian medical universities. The current trend persists this year.

          Finally, I would like to thank President of the Jordan Association of Physicians Dr. Z.Abu-Fares for his great efforts in organizing the Fourth Congress and the Head of Ukrainian delegation, Head of State Scientific Institution "Scientific-Practical Center of Preventive and Clinical Medicine" of the State Administration D.D.Dyachuk for his participation in the Conference.
