On April 16, 2012 the two days official visit of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to Jordan began on the invitation of the King of Jordan Abdullah II. The visit is being held on the eve of the 20-th Anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Jordan – ten years after the previous visit of the President of Ukraine to the Kingdom.

The Ukrainian leader will conduct the negotiations with the Jordan monarch in the frameworks of the visit. The sides will concentrate on the ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the different spheres as well as discuss the rank of mutual concern issues. In the frameworks of the negotiations between the leaders of two states a number of bilateral documents on cooperation in agricultural, humanitarian and investment spheres will be sighed.

During the visit the President of Ukraine will have the meetings with the Prime Minister of Jordan A.Al Khasawneh, President of Senate T.Masri, Speaker of the Lower House of the Jordanian Parliament K.Doughmi and other high ranking officials of the Kingdom.

In the frameworks of the visit the Ukrainian-Jordanian business-forum will be held with the participation of the leading representatives of the business circles of Ukraine and Jordan. The President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and the Prime Minister of Jordan A.Al Khasawneh will participate in the Ukrainian-Jordanian business-forum opening ceremony.
